WORKSHOP STRUCTURE
Class: / 75 minutes dynamic contemporary class. An energetic & dynamic contemporary class to prepare the body towards an intense day.
The class will begin with centre practice, involving exercises to encourage 3D dimensional use of the upper body whilst finding stability in the lower body.Â
The initial centre practice will ground the dancers onto the floor and warm their bodies, allowing them to freely move and take risks in the larger travelling exercises in the second half of class.Â
CREATIVE PRACTICE
/ 90 minutes - Focusing on varying tasks and creative responses, participants will learn how to break from their habits and form new creative strategies to further their own choreographic and interpretive skills within professional work.
An insightful look into the creative process and discovering new approaches to simple ideas that form more complex choreographies.Â
PCK REPERTOIRE
/ 120 minutes - An opportunity to learn repertoire from the choreographers’ previous works and explorations. This is a challenging opportunity that pushes students to develop their artistic skills and gain new knowledge about approaching choreography.Â
This class takes a student beyond simply learning a phrase and delves further into the intricacies of professional movement interpretation.Â
