GETTING HERE
Getting to the Acosta Dance Centre couldn’t be easier! As you plan your visit, don’t forget to check event times against TfL’s Journey Planner or Citymapper for the latest travel updates and times. Your journey to the Acosta Dance Centre will be as smooth and enjoyable as our dance performances.
BY CAR & ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Please note that there is no on-site parking at the Acosta Dance Centre so we recommend using public transport.
However, if you require to travel by car and or accessible parking, the Heritage Centre Car Park is a short 5-minute walk from our front doors. You can also use a public car park behind our building situated at Conrwallis Road SE18 (local charges apply).
Blue Badge holders can also park on designated double lines within the Royal Arsenal area for up to 3 hours.
ON FOOT
For those arriving by train, the Elizabeth line Woolwich Station is just a 3-minute walk from our front doors, equipped with lifts, escalators, and stairs for easy access. Alternatively, the Woolwich Arsenal DLR and National Rail stations are approximately less than 7-minute walk away on Woolwich New Road.
If you prefer a scenic route, the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers RB1 service stops at the Woolwich (Royal Arsenal) pier, a mere 2-minute walk from the Acosta Dance Centre.
For cyclists, bike racks are conveniently available in our garden and outside Con Gusto restaurant at the end of No 1 Street.
FACILITIES
Welcome to the Acosta Dance Centre, where finding your way around is a breeze. Our building features five levels, each offering unique amenities. On the ground floor, you’ll discover the main entrance, the Aud Jebsen & Michael Bishop studios, a guest green room, and a rest area. Additionally, gender-neutral toilets, changing rooms, and showers are available on this level.
Moving up to the first floor, you’ll find the Acosta Dance Centre office, meeting room, and the Aline Foriel Destezet Studio.
For a splendid view of the River Thames, head to the second floor, where you’ll encounter more gender-neutral toilets and our beautiful Lady Victoria Robey Studio, complete with a locker area and a smaller studio 5. Throughout the building, free WIFI is available, courtesy of Woolwich Works.
When it’s time for some delicious food and drink, the adjacent Woolwich Works Caffe is ready to delight your taste buds. From weekend brunch to delightful dinner and drinks on select evenings, the Caffe has you covered. Additionally, they offer daily breakfast and lunch options to keep you energized. If you’re in the mood to explore beyond our vicinity, Dial Arch, Riverside, and Boulangerie Jade are also excellent nearby choices.
