Fluxness by Antoni Androulakis

Friday 06 June - 10:00 AM | Sunday 08 June - 01:30 PM

Join Antoni Androulakis, an internationally renowned teacher and performer, for a transformative workshop that synthesizes a decade of research into floor work and acrodance. Through improvisation and exploration, Antoni challenges the question: “How can we rethink our relationship with gravity?”

Androulakis practice blends creativity, technique, and somatic tools, guiding participants through concepts such as:

  • Harnessing gravity as a movement generator.
  • Becoming conscious of weight and points of contact with the floor.
  • Exploring the idea of being both relaxed & active; using the needed tension in order to facilitate movement while getting rid of unnecessary rigidity.
  • Integrating acrobatic patterns as expressions of dance rather than isolated “tricks.”
  • Investigating our center as a source of movement through inversions.
  • Understanding our body as a holistic organism, seeing it as a whole in order to make it fully contribute to movement.

Antoni’s teaching bridges his expertise in floor work, acrobatics, and movement research, offering a unique opportunity to learn from one of today’s most innovative movement practitioners.

Who Should Attend?
This workshop is ideal for intermediate to professional level dancers, performances, and movers eager to expand their understanding of floor work and acrodance while connecting technique with creativity. No acrobatic experience is needed but a floorwork background is required.
