Embark on an exhilarating journey into Afro-Cuban dance and music at the "Alafia" Afro-Cuban Dance Festival, hosted at the Acosta Dance Centre from Friday, June 7th, to Sunday, June 9th, 2024. Immerse yourself in over two days of intensive Afro-Cuban dance training, featuring live music, dance, and songs. The festival caters to participants of all levels, from beginners to intermediate/advanced dancers, providing a unique opportunity to engage with celebrated Cuban artists and musicians.

- Master Domingo Pau: Renowned for a 60-year career in Afro-Cuban arts.
- Alexander Varona: Dancer and choreographer of Folkloric Ballet of Cuba.
- Luanda Pau: Dancer, model, and Afro-Cuban dance educator with extensive cultural experience teaching Cuban Folklore and Cuban dances.

- Friday 7th June: Festival Opening at from 6:30 pm, featuring live music, a DJ, and a social party.
- Saturday 8th June: Dance workshops from 10 am, night activities will include Salsa Rueda Timba classes, shows, live band, DJ, social, and party until late.
- Sunday 9th June: Dance workshops from 10, closing the festival with Open Salsa Rueda, Timba, Conga, and live music outdoors.
