London 2025 Martha Graham Intensive & Summer Intensive Scholarship Audition Dates: 25–27 April 2025

Join us for an immersive Martha Graham Masterclass led by Penny Diamantopoulou, a distinguished faculty member from the Martha Graham School in New York, and Aleth Berenice, a Martha Graham School alumna. This intensive oKers a unique opportunity to explore Martha Graham’s Technique™ and philosophy while unlocking your choreographic creativity.

Highlights: Technical Immersion:

Delve deep into the core of Martha Graham’s Technique through morning sessions that explore contractions, releases, spirals, oppositions, and oK-balance movements. Classes include floorwork, standing poses, and across-the-floor exercises guided by our expert instructors.

Creative Empowerment:

Afternoon sessions focus on choreographic innovation, inspired by Martha Graham’s evolution as a creative visionary. Discover your unique artistic voice through practical tools and techniques.

For All Dance Enthusiasts:

This workshop is suitable for advanced dancers, professionals, intermediates, dance pedagogues, and enthusiasts. Observational slots are also available for those keen on exploring the pedagogical aspects of the Graham Technique.

Summer Scholarship Audtion:

Two Scholarships will be awarded during the Workshop. One for the Martha Graham School Summer Inensive in New York*, and one for the Graham For Europe Summer Intensive in Paris**. All interested in auditioning must attend on the 27th of April, attendance on all three days strongly advised.

• 25th & 26th:

10:00 AM–11:30 AM: Graham Technique Class

Intensive exploration of the Graham Technique, covering floorwork, standing poses, and movement sequences.

11:45 PM–1:15 PM: Repertoire Session

Delve into the iconic Graham repertoire with guidance from our instructors.

1:15 PM–2:15 PM: Lunch Break (not included in the price)

2:15 PM–3:45 PM: Choreographic Creativity Workshop Explore tools for crafting unique choreographic expressions, drawing inspiration from Martha Graham’s creative legacy.

27th, Final workshop and Audition day:

10:00 AM–11:45 AM: Graham Technique Class

12:00 PM–1:30 PM: Repertoire Session

Anyone interested in Auditioning must attend the full day on the 27th (Attending the full three days in strongly advised).

Audition for Summer Scholarships at the Masterclass:

*Martha Graham School Summer Intensive in New York, USA: The award covers 50% of the Graham Technique tuition, the recipient has to pay the other 50%.

** Graham For Europe Summer Intensivs in Paris, France: The award covers 50% of the tuition fees, the recipient has to pay the other 50% and the registration fees.
