In an age where we travel across continents and even beyond our planet, our own body-mind remains an unexplored continent, an unknown universe, holding vast, untapped richness within. It carries immeasurable history and mystery, and within it, an infinite freedom of movement is waiting to be discovered.
This workshop is an invitation to descend back into the body-mind, to embark on a journey kilometers inward, to unfold the dance that already exists within us. Rather than imposing a style or form, we explore movement as a process of deep listening to the body-mind and the limitless resources it holds. Each body carries unique movements, shaped by personal history, by the imprints of time, and within it lies something even greater: a history that stretches back hundreds, thousands, millions of years, a vast mystery beyond the personal.
We begin by observing the body at an anatomical level and further, at subtler and subtler levels methodically. From deep observation, we work further with embodiment, exploring body and movement through different textures: embodying the touch of materials, the resonance of sound, or visual images.
As we awaken to our inherent movement, we also expand our awareness of space. Space is not only empty; it holds weight, texture, resistance, and imagination. And we will play with time as well, not as a linear sequence, but as something fluid, elastic, breathing. We deconstruct time, stretch it, compress it, and dissolve it. Movement emerges from the pulse of time and from the stillness between moments.
Open to all levels, from the professionals to the beginners.
