Beyond the Movement: Capoeira’s History, Culture, and Evolution. This special session offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the world of Capoeira:

• Q&A with Masters: Engage in an open discussion with respected Capoeira masters and teachers. Explore the historical roots, cultural significance, and ongoing evolution of this vibrant Afro-Brazilian art form.
• Open Roda: Witness and participate in a captivating open Roda, a traditional gathering of Capoeiristas celebrating art through movement, music, and energy.All levels are welcome! No prior experience is necessary to enjoy this exploration of Brazilian culture.”

   

• Morning Programme9:30-10:00 AM: Arrival and introductions & Orientation

  10:15 -11:15 AM: Afro-Brazilian Orixa (Beginners welcome)

  11:30-12:30 PM: Capoeira class with Mestre Ponciano. All levels

  1:30-2:30 PM: Orixa dance class with Juliana Elisa Santos

  15-minute break

  2:45-3:45 PM: Capoeira class with Contra Mestres Asterix & Lazaroni supervised by Master Fantasma

  15-minute break

  4:00 – 4:45 PM: Brazilian dance class Samba/Samba Reggae – class open to all levels

  Q&A session with the Capoeira/Orixa dance instructors and special guest Mestra Luanda Pau (Cuba) this session will lead into and be part of the open roda.

  5:00 -7:00 PM: URBAN RITUAL OPEN RODA
